Kathleen Bogucki
Elkhart, IN-Kathleen "Kathy B" Bogucki, 76, passed away in her home on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Kathleen was born in LaPorte, IN on November 9, 1944, to the late Emmitt and Marceil (Bailey) Hansen. On June 15, 1963, in St. Albert's Church, Kathleen married the late Thomas Bogucki who preceded her in death on November 7, 2015. Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Charlene (Randy) Ives; son, Frederick Bogucki; former daughter-in-law, Arville Miller; sisters, Patricia (Ted) Herrick and Laverne (Harold) Foos; and nephew, Dennis Bogucki.
Kathleen graduated from Adams High School in 1963. She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary and former Chaplain of American Legion Post 308. Kathleen and her husband, Tom, started the Euchre club at the Legion. They also enjoyed golfing and she was part of the women's golf league. She loved going to the casino with Thomas for their "free gifts' and playing bingo. She enjoyed dinners and lunches with her high school friends, neighbors, and co-workers. She loved to knit, crochet, and sew items that she would donate or give away to her friends. Kathleen & Tom both worked hard to give their children a better life and built two homes in their lifetime together. She loved her dogs, Molly and Carmella.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to her caregivers, Cindy, Becka, Anita, and Shere for helping Kathleen stay in her home. Also a special thank you to the Heart to Heart Caregivers, Lorri, Megan, Janell, and Michelle.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 17th, from 4-8 pm at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street in Mishawaka. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Friday, June 18th, at Queen of Peace Catholic Church in Mishawaka with one hour of visitation at the church prior to the mass. Burial will follow at Olive Cemetery in Elkhart.
