OSCEOLA -- Louise A. Pletcher, 65, of Osceola, died at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday (June 9, 2010) at the Elkhart Hospice House.

She was born Jan. 16, 1945, in South Bend to Clayton and Minnie (Florence) Hoover.

She married Virgil M. Pletcher on Nov. 30, 1963, in South Bend. He survives along with four sons, Walter (Tina) Pletcher, Terry Pletcher, Bob (Lori) Pletcher and John (Debbie) Pletcher, all of Osceola.

Also surviving are nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; her father Clayton (Bernie) Hoover of Port Charlotte, Fla.; two brothers, Jack (Debbie) Hoover of Louisiana and Jim (Diane) Hoover of South Bend; and two sisters, Lois Thompson of Mishawaka and Shirley Jones of Rushville.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Hoover, and four brothers and sisters.

Louise was employed at the H1 and H2 Hummer plants at A.M. General in Mishawaka. She graduated in 1963 from John Adams High School. Louise was a member of the Bethany Missionary Church for 15 years. She enjoyed art, gardening, cooking, sewing and crafts.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday (June 14, 2010) at Zimmerman-Inman Funeral Home in Osceola and from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Beulah Missionary Church. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (June 15, 2010) at Beulah Missionary Church, 57595 C.R. 17, Goshen. Pastor Brian Smith will officiate the service and burial will be in Olive (East) Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Elkhart Hospice House.
