Adams 1963 David Allen Moore

David Allen Moore, March 12, 1945, passed away peacefully at home early morning on November 22, 2016, after a 2 year battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in South Bend, Indiana to Frank J. and Violet (Starr) Moore. Dave graduated from John Adams High School South Bend, Indiana and Indiana University. He married Patricia (Kolacz) October 9, 1971 in South Bend, Indiana. Dave worked in sales and marketing of commercial fabrics for the past 45 years, most recently for Douglass Industries.

Dave is survived by his wife, Patricia; sons, Christopher Moore, of Avon, IN, Gregory Moore, of Portland, OR and Timothy (Joanne) Moore, of Portland, OR; grandsons, Evan and Elliott Moore; mother, Violet Moore, of Brooksville, FL; sisters, Carol (Tom) Churchill, of Brooksville, FL and Bonnie (Don) Kuzmits of Phoenix, AZ; father-in-law, Al Kolacz of South Bend, IN; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Jeff) Miller of Granger, IN; brothers-in-law, Mike (Teresa) Kolacz of Ann Arbor, MI and Jim (Pam) Kolacz of Brooklyn Park, MN; several nieces and nephews and many special friends. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Moore; nephew, John Kuzmits and mother-in-law, Adeline Kolacz.

Dave's biggest love was for his family and friends. He was always willing to help someone out, had a wonderful sense of humor and was known to be a great story teller. For Dave, the glass was always half full and this optimism helped him get through his 2 year fight with cancer. He enjoyed working and often said he loved his job. Dave also had a passion for cars and racing has had a lifelong interest in model railroading. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to thank Dr. T. Kasunic and his outstanding staff who provided excellent care for Dave the past 2 years and to Hospice of Northwest Ohio .

Family will receive guests in Dave and Pat's Home on Saturday, December 3, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital .
