Christopher A. Pettit, 60, of South Wayne Court, Granger, Ind., passed away at 8:43 p.m. Friday, March 11, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend.
He was born on December 8, 1944, in South Bend, to the late Rose Katherine (Guin) and Thomas Pettit.
On April 27, 1974, in South Bend, he married Mary Sweedyk, who survives. Mr. Pettit was a technical writer for A.M. General and was a graduate of Manchester College.
Services for Mr. Pettit will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 16, in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger, where friends may call one hour prior to services. Rev. William Schooler, pastor the church, will conduct the services. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, Ind. The Welsheimer Family Funeral Home, 17033 Cleveland Road, South Bend, assisted the family with arrangements.
