SOUTH BEND - Gloria, beautiful wife and best friend of Bob for 51 years, passed away October 26, 2016 after a battle with cancer. She was the daughter of Paul and Lena Thomas and grew up in South Bend.
She was married at Notre Dame in 1965. Gloria had a quick wit and was wonderful mentor to her 3 children and 5 grandchildren. She painted, and hand made Santas for each of her siblings. With Save the Children Gloria instigated the building of an elementary school in Diki, Ethiopia. She traveled with her family and expanded their knowledge of the US and other countries.
A funeral mass will be held at St Johns in Atlantic Beach, FL on Saturday, November 5.
