COLUMBUS, IN - Judith Anne Vosburgh Kaetzel, 66, of Columbus, died at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in Columbus Regional Hospital.

Mrs. Kaetzel taught special education in Evansville and elementary school in Aurora, IL. She also was an adjunct professor of developmental reading at the University of Evansville for 17 years, retiring in 2008.

She attended Nuner Elementary School, graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, and graduated from the University of Evansville in 1963.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Columbus.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. (EST) Saturday at Santa Claus Campground Cemetery in Santa Claus, IN, with the Rev. Brian Campbell officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today in Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street, and from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. (EST) Saturday in Santa Claus United Methodist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church of Columbus.

Born in South Bend, IN, Jan. 21, 1945, Mrs. Kaetzel was the daughter of Earl and Donnecilla Vosburgh. She married Steven G. Kaetzel in 1971.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Jason Douglas (Tina) of Indianapolis and Daxon Randall (Jenna) of Dallas, TX; a sister, Sharon (Doug) Ferris of South Bend, IN; and her parents of South Bend.
