To this union were born two sons, Austin Cornelius (Laura) of Houston, Texas, and Demond Germaine of Raleigh, N.C., who survive. A daughter, Trina Davis (Quinton) King of Memphis, Tenn., and a son, Travis Johnson of South Bend, also survive Mr. Davis. A.D. had a big heart. He was a kind, caring, compassionate and sensitive person who would give you the shirt off his back. He loved his family and his friends. He could not stand injustice. A.D. was most proud of his children and the fact that his two youngest brothers followed him into police work: Captain D.J. Davis of Hattiesburg and Officer Brad Davis of DeKalb County, Ga. A.D. also had a tremendous sense of humor and could make you laugh even without trying. He's at peace now, resting safely in the arms of Jesus and attempting to whisper but saying loudly, "Hey buddy. Don't worry about me. I'm o.k."
