Veronica J. Allen, 48, of Oaksprings Drive, Granger, died Monday in her home after an illness. Mrs. Allen was born on March 30, 1948, in South Bend to Michael and Anna (Fedor) Seach, who preceded her in death.
On March 1, 1969, in South Bend, as Veronica J. Seach, she married Thomas Allen, who survives with two daughters, Stacy L. Allen of South Bend and Carrie M. Norris of Mishawaka; a son, Scott C. Allen of Elkhart; a grandson, Steven Tyler Norris; a sister, Shirley Toppel of South Bend and two brothers, Donald Seach of Novi, Mich., and Ronald Seach of Westland, Mich. Also surviving are 14 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Mishawaka, with Rev. Elden J. Miller officiating, burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. Friends may call on Thursday, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be held at 5 p.m.
Mrs. Allen was a manager at the (Main Street) Elkhart Kmart Store and a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of St. Joseph County or the American Cancer Society of St. Joseph County.
