SOUTH BEND - Paul A. Barton, 58, of South Bend, passed May 3, 2009, in the Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, Indiana. He was born April 8, 1951, in South Bend, Indiana, to the union of Owen and Sadie Barton; both parents preceded him in death. He had a special friend, Rosalyn Day, who preceded him in death.

He graduated from Adams High School, and was affiliated with the First A.M.E. Zion Church.

He leaves to mourn his children: Paul L. Barton (Lori) and Erica Murphy-Barton; 11 grandchildren; sisters, Bernice Barton and Marion Boykins; brother, Phillip Barton, all of South Bend, IN; best friends, Patti and Moody Wafer; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and friends. He worked for Remote Controls.

Services for Mr. Paul Barton will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2009, in the Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., with the funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the funeral service at Highland Cemetery. The Clark-O'Neal Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
