Helen M. Kern, 56, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 10:45 a.m. Friday, January 13, 2006, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, IN.
She was employed with Nyloncraft, Mishawaka, as a secretary. Helen was born on December 16, 1949, in Elkhart, IN, to William and Katherine (O'Brien) Kern, and had lived in this area all her life.
Helen is survived by her two sons, Andrew (Julie) Kern of South Bend and Brandon Kern of Mishawaka; two grandchildren, Abby Kern and Adam Kern of South Bend; one sister, Betty Plaisted of Elkhart; and two brothers, William Kern of Mishawaka and Patrick (Kathy) Kern of Colorado Springs, CO.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, January 19, 2006, in Palmer Funeral Home-River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Avenue, South Bend, IN. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Thursday prior to services in the funeral home.
