Glenda L. Moody, 52, of Hillsdale Road, South Bend, Ind., died after an illness at 12:02 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 9, in St. Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind.
Glenda was born to Louis and Doris (Goetz) Batiz on April 11, 1945, in Tarentum, Pa. She grew up in South Bend and graduated from Adams High School. Glenda retired in 1993 as the property manager for Stratford Commons in Elkhart, Ind.
On Dec. 30, 1972, in Sterling, Va., as Glenda Batiz, she married Donald G. Moody, Jr., who survives.
She is also survived by a son, Donald G., III, of South Bend; her sister, Cheryl L. (John) Leisenring of Zeeland, Mich.; her goddaughter, Savannah Bragg of South Bend; and by her niece, Kelly Leisenring of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. on Thursday in Memorial Presbyterian Church, 1836 Portage Avenue, South Bend, where she was a member, and to which memorial contributions may be made. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Steven Mullin, pastor of the church. There will be no visitation, and cremation will take place at the Michiana Crematory.
The Welsheimer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
