Edward P. Gielow

Edward P. Gielow, of South Bend, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center at the age of 78. He was born on March 28, 1944, in South Bend to the late Harry J. and Esther A. (Lockwood) Geilow. Edward was a 1964 Adams High School graduate and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He worked for 30 years in the office at A.M. General until his retirement.

Edward is survived by his three nephews; his cherished Bible group friends Tom and Nancy Machacek; his good friends Paul Frye, Angela Dicks, Ruth Crow and his longtime friend of 48 years Richard Zink and many more. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Gielow.

Edward was a classical pianist and loved listening to classical music. His favorite performers were, Felix Mendelssohn and Franz Schubert along with Mozart. He was an expert at penmanship and worked with individuals around the world. He enjoyed the time he would spend with his bible group and was a devoted member. He was a man of deep faith and will be missed by us all.

In keeping with Edwards wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held at this time. Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
