September 12, 1946 ~ January 12, 2026 (79 Years Old)
Judith Ann Rose-Walley, a cherished sister, aunt, and friend, passed away at 9:15 am on Monday, January 12, 2026, in Memorial Hospital. Born on September 12, 1946, in South Bend, IN, Judy’s life was a testament to her enduring spirit and the love she shared with those around her.
A lifelong resident of the River Park area in South Bend, Judy’s roots ran deep in the community she adored. She was a proud graduate of John Adams High School and later went on to dedicate many years of service as a Provisioning Specialist at Honeywell/Bendix Corporation before retiring in 2009.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Duane and Agnes Rose; her brother, John Rose; and her nephew, Jonathon Rose and her husband, Joseph Walley Her memory will be lovingly carried on by her sister, Sharon Struck; her brother Robert Rose; her niece, Jennifer (Pat) Daly and their children, Patrick and Payton; and the many friends she made, particularly within the First Brethren Church.
A devout Christian, Judy found solace and strength in her faith. She was a life-long, active and devoted member of the First Brethren Church, where she formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community through her kindness and generosity.
Judy’s passions extended beyond her work and church activities. She was an avid collector of angel and cardinal figurines, finding beauty in these symbols of hope and love. She enjoyed collecting books, mostly cookbooks and lots of them. She also enjoyed shopping, especially at the Shipshewana flea market with her sister.
In the late 1980’s Judy greatly enjoyed her square dance club and had many happy memories of dancing with friends Jackie and Dick and so many others.
Funeral Services to honor and celebrate Judy’s life will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 23, 2026, in Palmer Funeral Home - River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN 46615. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to the service beginning at 10am. Judy will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola, IN.
