Joseph W. Larkin, age 67, passed away Friday evening at Memorial Hospital, South Bend. Joseph retired from Hoffman Brothers Auto Parts after 25 plus years of service. He was born October 22, 1947 in South Bend and has been a lifelong resident.

Survivors include his mother, Patricia (Clawson) Larkin of South Bend, 5 daughters, Christina (Tom) Denton of Andrews, IN and Kimberly (Charles) Miltenberger, Tracey Marshall, Jennifer Larkin, Sheila (Scott) Teeter all of South Bend, and a son, John (Dawn) Larkin also of South Bend. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, six sisters, Fran (Ronnie) Young, Patty (Lee) Sheley, Katey (Alex) Wojcicki, Margaret Larkin, Rebecca Huff, and Ann Marie Larkin; and four brothers, John, Michael (Sandy), Thomas and Robert Larkin.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father, John Larkin and his sister, Sharon Wiseman.

Palmer Funeral Homes – River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave. South Bend, IN 46615 is assisting the family will cremation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Joseph was an Army Veteran. He was an avid reader and enjoyed golfing, bowling, writing poetry, photography and baking cookies with his grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Joseph W. Larkin may be made to Palmer Funeral Home to defray funeral costs.
