SOUTH BEND - Mr. Leonard Shaw Jr., age 49, of Colfax Street, South Bend, IN, passed away Friday, January 29, 2016.
Leonard was born to Leonard and Monella (Bates) Shaw, Sr., on February 21, 1966, in Elkhart, IN. He graduated from John Adams High School in 1984. He was a member of Lake Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, and his passions were disc jockeying and cars. He was a people person in life.
Survivors left to cherish his memory include his parents, Leonard & Monella Shaw, Sr.; two brothers, Pastor Marvin (Natalie) Shaw and Terrance Shaw; four nieces, Lakeya Shaw, Adrienne Shaw, ZsaeBrionna and Kindal Shaw; three nephews, Lars Shaw, Darnell Johnson and Stepfon Shaw; a great-niece and nephew, Kimari Shaw and Kanaai Shaw; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Leonard was preceded in death by a sister, Kimberly Shaw Johnson.
Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 5, 2016, at Alford's Mortuary, where viewing will occur from noon to 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery.
