1953 Jane Ann (Williamson) Pollex

SOUTH BEND - Jane Ann Pollex was born in South Bend, IN, on November 16, 1934, to Helen and Charles Williamson. She passed away Monday, March 7, 2016, at Sprenger Healthcare, Mishawaka, Indiana.

Jane was a 1953 graduate of John Adams High School, South Bend. She proudly served her country during the Korean War 1953- 1956, in the Women's Army Corps. Joan worked in the Pentagon, then overseas in Heidelberg, Germany. Jane then returned to the U.S. and lived in West New York, New Jersey and Teaneck, NJ, between 1956 and 1969, finally returning to South Bend in 1969. In South Bend Jane worked for South Bend Water Works, South Bend License Branch, Bertles Imports, South Bend Hardware and the Elegant Touch.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Mike) Lanko; and son, Michael (Marie) Pollex; as well as grandchildren, Stephanie (Jon) Koski Donahey, and Andy (Joede) Koski; and great-grandchildren, Jesper and Soren. She is also survived by her brother, Les (Jackie) Williamson, niece, Michelle (Tim) Collins, nephew, Doug (Jennifer) Williamson.

Jane enjoyed her luncheons with a group of John Adams women who graduated with her in 1953. She also loved going to the Alumni Association luncheons every month.

Military graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, March 11, 2016, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.
