Rosemary G. Hartman, 90, a lifelong resident of the South Bend area, joined her Lord and Savior peacefully Sunday, March 8, 2015 at the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, Michigan, with family present. She was born November 10, 1924 in South Bend, the daughter of Roma and Henrietta (Keller) Geiger.

She worked for Indiana and Michigan Electric Company for 24 years until her retirement in 1984. She was an avid fan of Notre Dame and attended the women's basketball home games for many years. She also loved spending winters in her retirement community in Florida. She also loved square dancing.

On June 1st, 1946, she was joined in marriage to Charles E. Hartman. She is survived by a son, Ed Hartman of Stevensville, MI, two daughters, Karen Hyman of St. Joseph, MI, and Peggy (William) Loos of Holland, MI. Six grandchildren, Scott (Beth) Loos, Chas (Pam) Hartman, Stephen (Jennifer) Loos, Chris (Karen) Hartman, Jennifer (Scott) Ashland, FR Dan Hyman, eleven great grandchildren and her sister, Judy (Larry) Miller. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Charles E. Hartman who died on August 5, 2009, her son-in-law, Phil Hyman on March 14, 1999, twin grandsons, David and Dan Hartman, her brothers Don Geiger, Bob Geiger and Paul Geiger. Rosemary was a charter member of St. Jude Catholic Church.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 16 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 19704 Johnson Road, South Bend. Rev. John Delaney, pastor and her grandson, Rev. Daniel Hyman will officiate. Services will follow at St Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan St, South Bend, where a parish rosary will be said at 3:30 p.m.
