Robert C. Gerrard, 50, of 920 White Oak Dr., died at 11:10 a.m. Monday in Memorial Hospital of a heart attack. Mr. Gerrard was assistant cashier and purchasing agent for the National Bank and a former Bendix Corp. employee, having been contract administrator for the energy controls division for 28 years.

Born April 12, 1924, in Plymouth, he had lived here 37 years, moving from Plymouth. On Aug. 14. 1948, he married Patricia June, who survives. Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Clarence S. Gerrard of South Bend; a daughter, Christine, at home; a son, Robert, at home, and a sister, Mrs. Lucille LaFlore of New Port Richey, Fla.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Forest G. Hay and Son Funeral Home, 435 S. Ironwood Dr., where services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Max Hayden, pastor of the St. Peter’s United Church of Christ, of which Mr. Gerrard was a member, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park.

Mr. Gerrard was a member of Elks Lodge 235 and had served two terms as district chairman of the Potawatomi District, Boy Scouts of America. He also was treasurer of the Caldonia Club.
