SOUTH BEND - Mr. Ronald Joseph McCaster, aka “Daddy-O” by his daughter, age 52, who resided on Lovechio Drive, Mishawaka, IN, passed away September 21, 2016 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend, IN.

Ronald was born to Willis & Ruth (Griffin) McCaster in St. Louis, MO on December 5, 1963. He graduated from John Adams High School in 1981. He married Tracy Kay Wallace in 1998. He worked for the University of Notre Dame 32 years as a Chef. He loved basketball, cooking, especially baking, spending time with his family, bike riding with his daughter and making everyone laugh.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Willis & Ruth McCaster and his aunt, Willa Mae Dorsey.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his wife, Tracy Kay McCaster, one daughter, Charonna McCaster, one son, Joseph McCaster, a stepdaughter, Dameka Kimmons, two stepsons, Durell McCaster Bonds & DayShawn Kimmons all of South Bend, IN; three sisters, Cynthia (Tommy) Dent of Glendale, Arizona, Treasure McCaster and Ebony Bush; six brothers, Willis McCaster, Chris McCaster, Exavier McCaster, Jamere McCaster and Demond McCaster all of South Bend, IN and Ivory McCaster of Ohio, one aunt, Sedeera Griffin of Indianapolis, IN, and an uncle, Joe McCaster, Sr. of Atlanta, GA along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Pentecostal Cathedral COGIC with viewing from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the church.
