INDIANAPOLIS - Miss Porshae Jemima Owens, age 26, of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away at 10:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, 2016 at Eskenazi Hospital. Porshae was born in South Bend, IN on March 31, 1990 to Scott A. Owens Sr. and Alberta Hardin.

Porshae resided in South Bend, IN until 2010 when she moved to Indianapolis, IN to live with her father. Porshae always had a smile and was a friendly person. She graduated from Adams High School in 1998. She worked at various jobs. She loved to be with her family and friends all the time and was friendly with her neighbors.

Porshae is survived by her daughter, GeMiyah, father, Scott A. Owens Sr., mother, Alberta Hardin, brother, Scott A. Owens Jr.; four sisters, Ahmiah Owens, Ahmanah Woods, Brooklynn Owens and Scotlynn Owens; maternal grandmother, Minnie Young; paternal grandparents, Marsha Owens, Curtis Owens and Estella Owens; and special friend, Nikki Elie. Porshae was predeceased by maternal grandfather, Herbert Hardin and a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.

Homegoing celebration for Porshae J. Owens will be Fri., Oct. 7, 2016. Viewing at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. at Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church, 101 N. Adams St., South Bend, IN 46628. Then to Highland Cemetery. Repast immediately after at ZB Falcons, 323 Sheridan St., South Bend.
