Nancy A Anderson (Klinge)

Harrison, OH - Nancy A. Klinge, 90, passed away on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Shawneespring Care Center in Harrison, Ohio surrounded by family.

Prior to moving to Ohio to be near her two daughters, she lived in Muncie, Indiana for over fifty years.

Nancy was born in 1926 to William and Viola Anderson in Oak Park, Illinois. She spent her early childhood in Illinois before moving to LaPorte, Indiana with her family. She attended LaPorte High School and graduated from John Adams High School in South Bend, Indiana in 1944. She was a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in education, was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority, and served as co-chair for the first University Sing at IU.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, she was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church in Muncie, where she taught Sunday School off and on for almost forty years. She also worked at the Ball State Library, and served as a math tutor for the Muncie Public Schools. Children and education were her passion.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Klinge; and her second husband, Robert Polhamus; as well as her brother, William Anderson, Jr.

Nancy is survived by her children, Katherine Gibson (Thomas Falvai), Cynthia (Don) Adams, Laura (Doug) Kehoe, Carolyn (Mark) Windholtz, and Lee (Carol) Polhamus; eleven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, October 21, 2016 in Harrison, Ohio at Minges Funeral Home, with burial at a later date at Elm Ridge Memorial Park in Muncie.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of Cincinnati .
