February 13, 1940 - October 25, 2021

Paul Eugene Goodwin, 81, passed away on Monday morning, October 25, 2021 at his residence in Franklin.

He was born on February 13, 1940 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Henry and Marie (Wiggins) Goodwin.  He married Pamela Lyn (Hartup) Goodwin on March 22, 1973.  She lovingly survives.  Also surviving is their daughter, Dawn (Nick) Couse; grandchildren, Gabie Crihfield, Nash Couse and Lakyn Couse; brother, Dean (Sherri) Goodwin, nephews, Jeff (Heather) and Brian (Karleen) Goodwin.  He is also survived by his loving companion dog, Misty.  He was preceded in passing by his parents and daughter, Stacy Lyn Crihfield.

Paul was a 1958 graduate of John Adams High School; a 1962 graduate of Purdue, receiving his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and received his Master’s degree from Butler University.

Paul was an Electrical Engineer for Eli Lily for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1994.

He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.  He also was a member of the Alpha Chi Rho Fraternity at Purdue University.  He loved to golf and enjoyed watching Colt’s Football.  Paul was a wonderful husband and father.

Rev. Mike Beck and Rev. Andy Kinsey will conduct a celebration of Paul’s life on Thursday, October 28 at 1:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street, (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with visitation for family and friends from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Indianapolis, Indiana.
