Larry David Miller
Larry David Miller, 85, of Granger, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 9, 2026, at his residence. Larry was born on February 25, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana, to Ralph H. Miller and Blanche (Truax) Miller. He was a lifelong resident of the area and a proud member of the South Bend community.
He graduated from John Adams High School in 1958.
Larry dedicated his professional life to the field of pharmacy, serving others with care and integrity for many decades. His career included work at Huff-Portage Pharmacy, where he served for 20 years, St. Joseph Hospital for 16 years, Elkhart General Hospital for 5 years, and Notre Dame for 25 years. His commitment to his profession and the people he served left a lasting impact.
On June 16, 1962, Larry married Judy (Geiger) Miller in South Bend, Indiana. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and service.
He is survived by his loving wife, Judy Miller; his children James “Jim” D. (Karen) Miller of Granger, Janann “Jan” M. (Joe) Resil of Granger, and John L. (Lora) Miller of Elizabethtown, Indiana; his six grandchildren, Michele Miller, Kyle Resil, Matthew Miller (Stephanie Beasley), Noell Resil (Datryan Evans), Megan Miller, and Luke Miller; and one great grandson, Killian Miller.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; his sisters Dolly Rice, Betty Heeter, and Phyllis Schimmel; and his brothers Bob Miller and Dick Miller. Larry was a faithful member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and was active in several organizations, including the American Pharmacists Association and the Indiana Pharmacists Association. He was an avid Notre Dame and Indy 500 fan, attending over 35 races. He was a proud 1962 graduate of the Butler University College of Pharmacy.
Funeral services will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 13th, 2026 with a visitation from 10 am – 11 am with mass beginning at 11 am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to be made to the Center for Hospice, the Humane Society, or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Funeral Homes – Hickey Chapel.
