MIDDLEBURY - Ronald “Ronnie” E. Milliken, 78, of Middlebury, IN, formerly of South Bend, passed away Friday, February 2, 2018, in Elkhart General Hospital. Ronnie was born November 9, 1939 in South Bend, to the late David Milliken and Marian (Rockhill). He was also preceded in death by a grandson, David. On February 4, 1960 in South Bend, Ronnie married Lorel (Skiver) who survives, along with a daughter, Loron Morris of Shipshewana, IN, and son, Mark (Denise) Milliken of Elkhart, two grandchildren, Holly and Danielle, and a recently born great-granddaughter, Harmony. Ronnie had proudly served his country with the United States Air Force, from 1961 to 1965. Ronnie was a member of American Legion Post #297 in New Carlisle, IN. He had worked at South Bend Parks Dept. as a manager for Howard Park Ice Skating Rink, Storyland Zoo, and proudly worked as a Golf Pro at Studebaker Golf Course. Ronnie loved golf, fishing, sports, but most importantly he was devoted to his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Per Ronnie's wishes, there will be a private family gathering and private entombment at Riverview Cemetery at a later date. Cremation will take place at Welsheimer Crematory.
