BREMEN - Janeen (Chapman) Slos, 61, of Bremen, passed away September 1, 2013, at her residence. She was born February 28, 1952 in Fort Wayne to James F. and Phyllis (Henson) Chapman. She married David Slos on April 24, 1970; he survives. Janeen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She was baptized into and attended the Lutheran Church. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Janeen was known as the "football mom." She was a mother to many and a best friend. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, David of Bremen; children, Amy (Trent) Stouder, Katie Slos, David (Amber) Slos, Jr., and Llene Enders, all of Bremen; eight grandchildren, Megan, Peyton, David III, Alex, Samantha, Kelci, Maggie and Mikal; and one great-grandchild, Bentley. Also surviving are her mother, Phyllis; sister, RaeAnn Chapman of Mishawaka; brother, Randy (Sara) Chapman of Avon; sister, Becky (Robbie) Cauffman of Mishawaka, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James F. Chapman; a daughter, Jamie; a brother, Jim II; and a niece, Jennifer. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 4 from 3:00-7:00 pm at Mishler Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Services will be 10:30 am, Thursday, September 5 at the funeral home; Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Bremen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Southern Care Hospice.
