Judy Carlene Benn

Nov. 20, 1951 - Apr. 12, 2004

Judy C. Benn, 52, of Old Farm Road, Elkhart, Ind., passed away at 8:33 p.m. Monday, April 12, in her residence after a long battle with cancer.

Judy was born on Nov. 20, 1951 to Donald and Phyllis (Stephens) Frushour in Mishawaka, Ind. On Dec. 24, 2001, Judy married her love of 15 years, Todd Benn in Elkhart. Todd survives.

Also surviving are Judy's daughters, Toni Bailey and her husband, Greg, Nichole Carithers and her husband, Chris, and Katie Siomos, all of Elkhart; her parents, Donald and Phyllis Frushour of South Bend; father-in-law, Gene Benn of Granger; mother-in-law, Joanna Constant and her husband, Bill of Edwardsburg, Mich.; and two sisters, Leeann Roames and her husband, Tim of Illinois, and Janeen DeChantel and her husband, Jeff of Hobart, Ind. Surviving also are two grandchildren, five nieces and three nephews, along with her sisters-in-law, Teresa VanGundy and her husband, Jeff of North Webster, Ind., Nicole Benn and Michelle Reed and her husband, Chris, both of Elkhart.

Judy was preceded in death by her brothers, Gregg and Michael Frushour.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 15, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, Osceola, Ind. There will also be one hour of visitation prior to services which will be conducted by Reverend Mark Waltz and Reverend Tim Roames at 3 p.m. Friday, April 12, in the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Benn was a graduate of Adams High School, class of 1969, and attended Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. Judy was employed by DoMore in Elkhart in sales for 3 years. She then was employed by Phillips Industries for the last two years in the order entry department. Judy was a member of Granger Community Church, where she was involved with the Homebound Ministries. She loved to snowmobile and ride bicycles with her husband, and loved spending time with her family.

Donations may be given in her memory to United Cancer Services of Elkhart, or the Granger Community Church.
