MISHAWAKA - Alan Schrader, 64, of Mishawaka, IN passed away on Sunday December 6, 2015 at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
Alan was born on October 17, 1951 in Mishawaka, IN, to the late Eugene L. and Cynthia E. (Munro) Schrader. Alan graduated from John Adams High School in 1970, he then attended IUSB in South Bend, and he furthers his education at R.E.T.S. Electronic Trade School. On June 15, 1996, Alan married the former Diane Hartman in Osceola, IN. Alan is survived by his wife Diane, his brother Brian (Lora) Schrader of Mishawaka, IN, along with several nieces and nephews. Alan was employed as a Laborer at A.M. General for the past 13 years; he was previously employed at Crown International for 18 years. Alan belonged to a Chess Club, Amateur Ham Radio Club, and Japanese Friendship Club. He was an avid reader, collected stamps and enjoyed most kinds of music. Alan was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Free Church in South Bend.
The family will receive friends 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, December 9, 2015 at the Bubb Funeral Chapel 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka. The funeral service will be held 10:00am, with one hour visitation prior, on Thursday December 10th, with Pastor Steve Meck officiating at the Trinity Evangelical Free Church 61770 Miami Rd. South Bend. Burial will follow the service at Olive West Cemetery in Elkhart County. Memorial contributions can be made to the Trinity Evangelical Free Church.
