SOUTH BEND - Donna Jean Tennyson Yoder, age 81, of South Bend, IN passed away Monday, January 29, 2018. Donna lived in the River Park area of South Bend her entire life. She was born to George and Myrle Tennyson on November 27, 1936 in Mishawaka, IN.

Donna graduated from John Adams High School in 1954. While a student there, she met her future husband, Thomas Yoder, who preceded her in death on December 31, 2015. They were married upon her graduation on September 4, 1954. They remained avid fans of John Adams throughout their lives. She continued her education with classes at IUSB.

Donna loved needlework, arts, reading, and crocheted afghans for friends and family. She remembered her family and friends with cards and small remembrances on their special days and to keep their lives entwined. The most important times in her life were those times spent with family and friends. She treasured her family above all. 

She worked at Robertson's Department Store for several years. Later, Donna began working as a drive-in teller at National Bank, and she stayed with the organization through name changes and became a branch manager and bank officer before leaving after 21 years.

Donna is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard, Kenneth, and James. She is survived by one sister, Judy. Donna and Tom had three children, who also survive: Judy Lynn (Kenneth) Amarose from Acworth, GA, Brent (Karen) Yoder of South Bend, and Darla (Scott) Eberly from North Manchester, IN. Donna is also survived by grandchildren: Nathaniel and Rosa Amarose of Nevada City, CA; Brandon Yoder and Danni Smith of South Bend; Keegan Yoder and Meghan Yoder of South Bend; Matthew and Erin Eberly of Fisher's, IN; Andrew and Kasie Eberly of N. Manchester; Kyle and Mark Tennyson of Los Angeles, CA; and Kaytlyn Eberly and Robert Adkins, of N. Manchester; great-grandchildren: Jonathan, Hannah, Joanna, Kaine, Rachel, Tatum, and Jacob Eberly; and extended family and beloved friends, Larry & Shirley Vanderbosch, Doug & Jan Cowen, Roseann Eddy, George & Alice Preissing, Mary Lou Thompson, Paul & Marilyn Elliott, Richard & Karen Bauer, Larry & Barbara Varda, Carolyn Rishaug, and Donald & Rosemary Onderdonk.

A Memorial Service for Donna will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Rev. Dr. Pat Somers will officiate.
