Mary Grace Shafer

ROLLING PRAIRIE - Mary W. Shafer, 77, of Rolling Prairie, IN passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at her home after a brief illness.

She was born on June 30, 1936 in South Bend, IN to Edward and Hazel (Hatter) Wenger.

She was the owner of Knitting in the Round in Rolling Prairie, IN.

Her passions were her horses, her garden and knitting. She was a graduate of South Bend Adams High School and was a 4-H leader.

Mary is survived by 2 daughters, Lisa (Larry Laskoski) Shafer of Rolling Prairie, IN, and Anne Shafer of Kansas City, Missouri; 1 son, Paul (Cindy) Shafer of Topeka, Kansas; 4 grandchildren, Andrea (Andrew) Lindeman, Carly Shafer, Jamison Shafer, and Hillary Shafer all of Topeka, Kansas.

She is preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, James Wenger.

A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
