Carol Jean Kissinger passed away on Tuesday, the 26th of November, 2024, at the age of 65, at Raclin House of Mishawaka, Indiana. Born on the 28th of August, 1959, in South Bend, Indiana, Carol was the child of Sylvester and Emma Mary (Nowicki) Wichlacz who both preceded her in death.

She is survived by her loving husband, John Kissinger; devoted daughters, Janice Jo Boss of Elkhart, and Cassie Ann (Nicolas Toner) Kissinger of South Bend. Carol was the adored grandmother to eleven grandchildren: Rebecca Lynn Hicks, Shannon Hicks, Kaitlin Hicks, Dalton Hicks, Gavin Boss, Anna Walker, John Walker, Dakota Toner, Emma Toner, Nicolas Toner, Jr., and Tim Toner, as well as her four great grandchildren, all of whom will miss her unconditional support. She leaves behind her loving sister, Emma (Louis) Walker of Indianapolis, and a brother, James (Chris) Wichlacz, of South Bend.
For many years, Carol committed herself to her career in Food Services. She was a member of St. Therese Little Flower Catholic Church, South Bend.

Carol possessed an unwavering love for all dogs, an insatiable craving for M&Ms and strawberries, and was renowned for making the best liver and onions. These simple pleasures brought immense joy to her life and to those who were lucky enough to share a meal or a moment with her.

A service celebrating Carol's life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Palmer Funeral Home - River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, with burial to follow at Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend. Those who wish to pay their respects to Carol and her family are warmly invited to visit on Friday, November 29th, from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.
