South Bend - Joseph A. Biggs, 55, of South Bend, passed away on Wednesday May 13, 2015, in his home. He was born on March 29, 1960, in South Bend, to Patrick J., Sr. and Teresa (Schwartzfisher) Biggs. He was preceded in death by his father. Survivors include his daughter, Sarah Biggs; his mother, Teresa Biggs, both of South Bend; two sisters, Karen (Terry) Kalemba of Rockford, MI and Jean (Tom) Gooley of Westerville, OH; six brothers, Michael (Patricia) of South Bend, Patrick, Jr. (Andrea) of Mishawaka, Kevin of Kankakee, IL, Richard (Margo) and Robert (Holly), both of South Bend and Thomas (Tracy) of Granger, IN; and by several nieces and nephews. Joseph was an animal lover and especially loved his dog, Sophie. He enjoyed reading autobiographies and history and listening to music. He especially loved his daughter and loved to share his pride in her accomplishments.
