Brian Howard Cool

November 11, 1960 ~ October 2, 2024 (age 63)

Brian Howard Cool, 63, passed away at 3:20am on Wednesday October 2, 2024, in Raclin House. Born on November 11, 1960, in South Bend, Brian was a man of great spirit and joy, whose presence was a gift to all who knew him.

Brian was the cherished son of the late James and Ann Belle (Hansen) Cool. He shared a beautiful and loving marriage with his wife, Nancy (Murphy) Cool. Together, they created a legacy of love.  Brian treated Nancy’s children as his own, Tracy (Dennis) Hillring and Marcie (Rick) Muhlbeier. Brian's joy was multiplied with the birth of his grandchildren, Tiffany, and Katelynn, and Hayden and he was overjoyed to meet his great-grandchild, Rowan. He is also survived by sister, JoAnn (John) McCahill, and brother, Jay (Pam) Cool.

Brian's work as a mold maker in various factories was marked by dedication and skill. Outside of work, Brian's passions were many. He was an avid motorcyclist, taking to the roads on his dirt bike and Harley, feeling the freedom of the open road. His love for driving was also evident in the pride he took in his many vehicles that he cherished and enjoyed. Road trips with Nancy were among his favorite getaways, providing them both with cherished memories and stories to share.

Brian's life was one of active engagement and enjoyment. He approached every day with a zest for life that was infectious. As we say goodbye to Brian, we celebrate a life well-lived, a journey filled with love, adventure, and the warmth of a man who was truly one of a kind. Brian Howard Cool will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him.

For those who would like to pay their respects, the family will host a Celebration of Life from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Zion Community Church, 211 S. St. Peter’s St. South Bend, IN 46617 in the Fellowship Hall.

Palmer Funeral Home – River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
