In Memory
Jeffrey Hutchings
Jeffrey Hutchings passed on November 3, 2024 after his long fight with cancer. He beat it three times, but each bout took its toll. Jeff is survived by his wife Anna Ricci, his 3 beloved children Justin (Colleen) of Issaquah, Washington, Cari, and Travis (Nicole) Kukla of South Bend, Indiana; his siblings Lynn (Steve) Biddle of Enid, Oklahoma, and Cris Dycus of Plymouth, Indiana; his stepdaughters Cassandra Lynn, Cristina (Austin) Green; his grandchildren Milliana Kukla, Airess “Moth” Lynn, Jack and Georgeanne Green; and 6 dogs Brick, Larsen, Lola, Casper, Ash, and Viola. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Grace.
He was a proud graduate of Denver Automotive and Diesel College and worked as a mechanic for more than 30 years. He was trusted by hundreds of loyal customers who loved him for his honest and direct approach.
Jeff was an avid fly fisher, golfer, and pool shooter. His favorite place in the world was fishing the Manistee River in northern Michigan with his best friend Gary Colwell. In his younger days, he was a championship mini golfer and bowler too. He spent the last decade of his life rescuing and fostering countless dogs on behalf of Heartland Small Animal Rescue. They were his best buddies, and he rarely left their sides. He's remembered by his friends for his kindness, wit, and a touch of competitiveness.
Services will be held at the Clay Social Club at a later date. In lieu of flowers, his family requests gifts to be given to Heartland Small Animal Rescue in his name.
