UNION - Thomas A. Wozniak Jr., 44, of Long Lake, Union, Michigan, died Saturday, September 8, 2007, at 1:30 p.m. from drowning. He was born January 1, 1963, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Thomas A. and Judith Ann (Nowostawski) Wozniak Sr., and lived most of his life in South Bend until moving to Long Lake two months ago. Thomas is survived by his mother, Judith A. Armstrong of South Bend; his father, Thomas A. Wozniak Sr. of South Bend; two sisters, Debbie Lee of Sarasota, FL, and Elizabeth Larrison of Elkhart, IN; and a half brother, Derrick Wozniak of Sarasota, FL. He is also survived by his girlfriend, Shelly Heisler; uncle and aunt, Bill and Lou Ann Nowostawski; a host of other aunts, uncles and cousins; and special friends, Neil and Charlene Butler. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 14, in the Connelly Funeral Home, Cassopolis. Officiating will be Pastor Jim Garnett, pastor of the Mason Township Baptist Church. The family will receive friends on Friday one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to either the Mason Township Baptist Church or to the Cass County Sheriff's Department Marine Division. The family would like to give special thanks to the Cass County Sheriff's Department Marine Division, the Porter Township Fire Department, the Cass County Sheriff's Department Chaplain and Advocate service, and the neighbors and friends of Tom's at Long Lake.
