Ronald Keith Freese - Class Of 1973

Ronald Keith Freese

Ronald Keith Freese, 65, residing in Eminence, left this life to join the Lord on March 3, 2021.

Ron is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Deanna (Bowman) Freese. Also surviving are his children, Katy (Derek) Unverzagt, Kenny (Amber) Freese, and his stepdaughter Tina (Joe) Jennison, along with his grandchildren, Sam, Abbie, Amalia, Avery, and Ryan.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, Keith and Lorraine (Mynsberge) Freese, and his sister, Kathy Freese.

Ron graduated from Franklin College in 1977 with a degree in Education and worked at Indiana Bell for 16 years as a Safety and Field Trainer. He also worked as an EMT and held many positions as a Communications Technician for the IBEW Local Union 481.

Ron loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He loved all sports and could often be found cheering on the Notre Dame football team. He also had a passion for history, and spent hours building models of warcraft and battlefields, along with architectural models, for which he won many awards. He deeply respected the military and was a proud volunteer with Indy Honor Flight to honor our nation’s veterans.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, March 6th at Whitaker Funeral Home in Cloverdale, IN and visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow the funeral at Shumaker Cemetery on SR 42 near Eminence, IN.
