MISHAWAKA - Roger William Greene, 55, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Sunday, September 19th.
Roger was born on July 8, 1955, in South Bend, to Jack W. and Ruth (Wukowich) Greene. He was preceded in death by his father, Jack. On June 30, 1984, in St. Joseph Catholic Church, South Bend, he married Cheryl Lynne Haselton. Surviving are his mother, Ruth (stepfather, George) Mayerhofer of Mishawaka; wife, Cheryl of Mishawaka; three sons, Daniel, Brian and Taylor Greene, all of Mishawaka; and a sister, Karen Reed of South Bend.
He was an electronic technician for South Bend Lathe and Bendix Corp. He later became a sales rep for Midwest Sales and Service. He then became a sales rep, co-owner and vice president of CTD in Fort Wayne. He was an Adams High School graduate, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Vikings Ski Club.
Roger was a loving husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was always providing a helping hand for those in need. He had the biggest heart for both family and dear friends.
Roger was an avid hunter. In addition, he enjoyed working on cars while enjoying his friends' company. He thoroughly enjoyed boating with the company of family and friends. He was an avid ski enthusiast (snow). He enjoyed camping and traveling with close family members. He always had a loving heart for his pets.
Visitation will be today, Sept. 23rd, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home, with Rev. Pat Magley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions PLEASE be made to Heroes Camp Inc., 4130 Hickory Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
