In Memory

Diane Carol Hartz
Our beautiful and beloved daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, and auntie, Diane Hartz, peacefully passed into the loving arms of Jesus on Sunday, February 15, 2026.
Diane graduated from John Adams High School in 1975.
Diane was the firstborn child to Duane and Joyce Hartz. She had a wonderful laugh and was so fun and full of life. Diane had many talents. She was a crafter, an amazing seamstress, and made beautiful cards. Her happy place was her kitchen where she made fabulous meal and extraordinary desserts! Di loved being in Siesta Key, FL with her parents and family, and spent every 4th of July there celebrating on the beach. She spent many years cruising with her parents and sister, where she made wonderful memories and lasting friendships with people wherever she went. The last cruise in 2024 was the best with mom, dad, and all four siblings together. Most of all, Diane loved the Lord and had an unwavering faith. She attended Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in South Bend.
Next to God, Di deeply lover her family. She was devoted to her sons and granddaughter. She attended every little league and softball game for her boys and played an important role in helping Brian raise Airis. She loved to spoil her dad and was his “Snoopy Girl”.
Di’s second husband, Marty Falls, preceded her in death, as did her sister-in-law, Sheryl Hartz, whom she so loved. Surviving are her parents, Duane and Joyce Hartz, of Sarasota FL; sister Denise Hartz of Granger, IN; brothers Dennis Hartz (Penny McFann) of Dublin, OH, and Douglas Hartz of Clinton, OH. She is also survived by her sons, Shaun Ramer of Mishawaka, IN, who lovingly cared for her during her illness, and Brian (Kiley) Ramer of Granger, who also provided comfort and care.
She is also survived by her granddaughter and love of her life, Airis Ramer (Matthew Saunders) of Granger, IN; granddaughters Madi and Katie Hernandez of Granger, IN; her nephews, Dylan (Becky), Devin Rogers, and Derek Brooks; She was also loved by Kris Brooks, Sheryl’s sister. She will be missed by her kitty girl, Shayna.
Di lived a loved generously and we were all so blessed to be loved by her. She leaves a legacy of deep faith, love of family, and generosity. She was dearly loved by her family and will be terribly missed. We will love her forever and until we meet again, she will live on in our hearts. “Don’t worry about a thing, ‘cause every little thing gonna be alright.”
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to Diane’s family.
