Michael Casey Kubisiak

Michael Casey Kubisiak, 69, passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2026. He was born on April 4, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana, to Michael and Adeline (Stachurski) Kubisiak.

On February 6, 2010, he married Patricia Thompson. They shared sixteen years of marriage before Patty preceded him in death on May 14, 2026.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Kubisiak, and his parents.

Michael dedicated many years of service as a laborer at the wastewater treatment plant in Mishawaka, where he was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a helping hand before retiring in 2022.

Michael was an active member of the American Legion Post 303 for over 20 years and spent many hours enjoying a drink and sharing his humor with everyone. Michael also enjoyed nature and the outdoors throughout his life. His memory will be carried forward by those who knew and loved him.

Michael is survived by his son and daughter, Casey Kubisiak and Kim Kubisiak; his stepdaughters, Emily Thompson and Sara Thompson; his step grandchildren, Ava Thompson, Royce Thompson, Levi Thompson, Avery Franklin, Mila Sleepers, and Tatum Franklin; his stepson Kenny Selner; his sister, Chris Wilson and his nephew Corey Cooper. He also leaves behind many extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.

His heart was broken from his beloved wife and friend, Patty, passing weeks prior. May they be united together in Heaven, amongst the stars, laughing and having a drink.

In keeping with Michaels wishes , no formal service is set for this time . Hahn Funeral Home has been entrusted with the final arrangements and extends their deepest sympathies to Michael's family.
