Lynette Thompson – South Bend, Indiana, Lynette passed away suddenly on August 20, 1996.  Lynette was a veteran of both the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.  Lynette worked for Verkler Construction.  She left behind one son, Tyson Collins Thompson, to cherish her memory.

Ms. Lynette Thompson, 40, who resided at 4406 W. Western Ave., South Bend, Ind., passed away suddenly at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, in her residence.

Lynette was born to the union of James and Iona (Mosby) Thompson, in South Bend, on Sept. 12, 1955. She was a lifetime area resident.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Tyson Collins Thompson at home; her mother, Iona Thompson of South Bend; a sister, Cassandra Harris of Tucson, Ariz.; and many other relatives.

Ms. Thompson was a former employee of Verkler Construction Company, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, in Alford's Mortuary, with interment following at Highland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
