In Memory
Elizabeth Ann Harless-Quigg
If Elizabeth (Beth) were to be described in one word, that word would be 'radiant.' When Beth comes to mind, you see her beaming, smiling face. If you were lucky enough to have spent time with her, you most likely spent much of that time hearing her loud, cackling laugh. Beth was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, and was the oldest of five children.
She attended John Adams High School, where she was the life of the party! Friendships from her school days lasted until her final day. She was cherished by all who knew her. As an adult, she moved to Illinois, and her two most important accomplishments took place there: the birth of her son, Michael, and her daughter, Mallory.
Throughout her life with her children, her partner Felix, extended family members, and even with strangers, Beth was known for her thoughtfulness, willingness to help, and amazing talent for cheering people up. She used to say her knack was her "customer service with a beaming personality!" Finally, she took such pride in being "Grandma Beth" to her seven grandchildren. Beth had a long battle with cancer, and without a doubt, it was her strength, optimism, joy, and love for her family that kept her battling for well over a decade.
Beth is survived by her three sisters, Mary, Tricia, and Jacki, as well as her brother, Tom. She is also survived by her two children, Michael and Mallory Quigg, and her seven grandchildren: Brayden, Collin, Harper, and Kinsley Quigg and Noble, Justice, and Cyrus Jeffers.
Beth is up in Heaven, laughing, perhaps missing her Starlight mints, but no doubt happy to be free from her illness. Please offer prayers for her spiritual journey!
