Her care and love of those children prepared her well for her role as mother to her own children, Clayton Woodley, six years old, and Courtney Woodley, four years old, whom she loved more than life itself. Hobbies included scrapbooking of good memories and cheering on the fighting Irish of Notre Dame.

Julie, your life and devotion are models for us all. You kept your life simple and focused.

Involvement in a number of activities was minimal but your dedication to whatever you were doing is an example to remember. Your courage for whatever challenges you faced has been recognized since you were a small child. Your happy attitude and smile always accompanied your presence. In the long process of this last battle of pancreatic cancer, you were as stoic as any general. “Julie-Belle,” we don’t say goodbye. We don’t really even say “until later” because your warm spirit and love will continue to always surround our lives. We don’t have answers to this chapter of your life. Thank you for your gift of hope and perseverance. We’ll be in touch until the day our Lord arranges our reunion. Be looking for us at the gate; we’ll recognize your contagious smile! -Your loving family
