Scott David Pontzious
Scott David Pontzious, 55, of Osceola, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, August 22, 2026. He was born on May 18, 1971, in Lima, Ohio, to David and Sharon (King) Pontzious.
Scott was an extremely hardworking man who took great pride in his career as a plumber/pipefitter. He was a longtime member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 172 and dedicated over 30 years to his trade before retiring in May. Scott was the kind of person who believed in working hard, getting the job done right, and helping others along the way.
Outside of work, Scott was a man who knew how to have a good time. He had a great sense of humor and loved playing practical jokes, often bringing laughter to those around him. He enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and spending time in his two Corvettes. Whether he was working with his hands, enjoying one of his favorite hobbies, or simply spending time with the people he loved, Scott had a way of making ordinary moments memorable.
Above all, Scott treasured his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege of knowing him. His personality, sense of humor, hard work, and the memories he created with his family and friends will remain with them for years to come.
Scott is survived by his loving wife, Michelle (Keck) Pontzious; his daughters, Taylor Pontzious, Morgan (Kyle) Terreo, Jordan Pontzious, and Camryn (Cara Domzalski) Pontzious; stepdaughter, Alexa Bendit; grandchildren, Jayden Baugher, Hudson Terreo, and Stetson Terreo; and sister, Kristi (Tom) Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Sharon (King) Pontzious.
Scott’s family will carry forward the many memories they shared with him—from his practical jokes and laughter to the simple moments spent together. Though he is no longer with them, the impact he has made on the lives of his family and friends will not be forgotten.
Private arrangements have taken place, Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46614, is assisting the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Scott’s honor may be given to the St. Joseph Humane Society.
