Angela Joan Obren, 39, of South Bend, passed away peacefully on Friday, Jan. 30, 2004, in Hospice House following a brief illness.

She was born Feb. 24, 1964, in Mishawaka, a daughter of Peter and Shirley (Meyers) Obren. Angie grew up in South Bend and graduated from John Adams High School in 1984.

For the past 10 years she was employed in the bakery department at Martin’s Supermarkets. Angie’s greatest enjoyment was vacationing at least once each year at Disney World.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley, in 2002. Angie’s surviving family includes her father, Peter Obren of South Bend; a sister, Julie A. Obren of South Bend; a niece, Alisabeth Obren; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends are invited to join the family for a memorial service at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 4, in Thallemer, Goethals & Wells Funeral Home, 503 W. Third St., Mishawaka. Pastor Karl Brenner of St. Paul Lutheran Church will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Memorials are suggested to Hospice of St. Joseph County.
