A memorial service for Ronald will begin on Monday, July 1, 2019 at 12:00 PM at Palmers Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincoln Way West, South Bend, IN 46628. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorial Visitation at the Palmer Funeral Home - West Chapel from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on July 1, 2019.

Mr. Ronald R. Avance, 51, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 in his home after battling illness. Ronald was born July 31, 1967 to the union of Johnny and Mary (McKnight) Avance.

A lifelong resident of South Bend, IN and graduate of Adams High School, Ronald was a proud father of 5 and worked as a general labor.

Ronald is survived by: his son, Jaron (Chelsea) Avance of Fort Wayne, IN, daughters Ayriana Avance, Aryel Avance, Avrianna Avance and A’Milliana Avance, all of South Bend, IN; brothers Reedies Cotton of Los Angeles, CA, Ronnie Cotton of Las Vegas, NV, Michael Avance, his twin Donald Avance and Carl Moore, all of South Bend, IN; sisters Diane Avance, Debra Avance and Fredia Avance all of South Bend, IN, and Lori Avance of Louisiana; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. 

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Johnny Avance, Jr. and Richard McKnight; paternal grandparents Joseph and Everlena Avance; maternal grandparents Jon and Lucille McKnight.

Special homeboys of Ronald: Kenny (Bean), Clarence, David C, Cark K, Jerome J, T.B, Walt, Vance, Bam, Lil Mike, Bogie, Rell-D, West, and Tony T. If we missed anyone, charge it to the head, not the heart!
