SOUTH BEND - Nancy Lynn Kovatch, 47, of Birmingham, Ala., formerly of South Bend, died at 11 p.m. Friday in Baptist Montclair Hospital, Birmingham, after an illness.
Mrs. Kovatch was employed 10 years as a secretary with American States Insurance Co. She was born July 26, 1946, in South Bend. On Dec. 31, 1969, in South Bend, as Nancy Lynn Daniel, she married Ronald L. Kovatch.
He survives with a son, Kevin of South Bend; one grandson; her parents, Leslie J. and Doris Daniel of South Bend; and two sisters, Darlene Daniel of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Sharon Greanias of South Bend.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Kaniewski Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society.
DANIEL 50TH
SOUTH BEND - Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Daniel of 1204 E. Wayne St. N. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a party. Mr. Daniel and Doris L. Bowman were married April 15, 1944, in South Bend.
They have three children: J. Darlene Daniel of Redondo Beach, Calif.; Nancy L. Kovatch of Birmingham, Ala.; and Sharon L. Greanias of South Bend. A son, Dennis, is deceased. They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Daniel is employed by Hallmark Real Estate as a broker. He and Mrs. Daniel have lived in South Bend for 50 years.
