Wayne Robert Dering

Wayne R. Dering, 76, went to Heaven on Feb. 28, 2010 while vacationing in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Born Dec. 29, 1933 in South Bend, Ind. Two Sisters and a Brother preceded him in death.

Survived by a brother, Glenn of Clarksville, Ind.; and a sister, Sally (Frank) Hart of Massillon. A daughter, Rhonda Dering passed on March 13, 2009.
Surviving daughters are Sue (John) Cheese of Akron, Tracy (Bill) Holland of Ft. Lauderdale, and Mary Alice (Harold) Gray of Hilliard; seven grandchildren, Angela (Jerome) Cappillo of Canton, Ryan (Janelys) Holland, Steven (Nicole) Holland, and Andrew Holland, all of Ft. Lauderdale, Nicolas (fiancée, Lauren) Gray, Justin and Richard Gray of Hilliard; five great-grandchildren, Nicolas, Benjamin, Jaden and Savannah Cappillo of Canton, and Mya Gray of Hilliard.

He graduated from John Adams and College of Commerce in South Bend, Ind., and served in the Armed Forces 1954-56.

Employed 32 years at Western Southern Life Insurance as Supervisor of Training.

A member of his church for 45 years, and was currently serving as Chaplain of The Gideons International.

His greatest joy was his family and his church. He loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was at peace with God.

Memorial Services will be held Whipple Avenue Baptist Church, 191 Whipple Ave. NW, Canton, Ohio, on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 1 p.m.
