SOUTH BEND - Shirley A. Kline, 77, passed away peacefully at 10:15 a.m. on March 26, 2011, in the Center for Hospice Care, Elkhart. Shirley was born on February 6, 1934, in Logansport, IN, as the daughter of Curtis and Olive (Marburger) Lee.

Shirley lived in Douglas, Arizona, for a few years, but lived a majority of her life in South Bend. She was a graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend. On November 10, 1956, in South Bend, she married John Kline Jr. Shirley is survived by her husband of 54 years, John; and by their children, John (Kim) Kline III of Irvine, CA, Carol (Ron) Wainscott of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Alex and Max Wainscott and Kelly and Erkia Kline; brothers, Gene (Phyllis) Lee, Richard (Arlene) Lee and Fred Lee; a sister-in-law, Janet (Roy) Chervie; and several nieces and nephews. Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Curtis and Olive Lee, and grandsons, Matthew Kline and John Wainscott.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorial contributions be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 22579 Old US 20 East, Elkhart, IN 46516. A celebration of her life will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka, IN. Family and friends may visit with the family and share stories and memories from 11:00 a.m. till the time of service at 1:00 p.m.; burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery Mishawaka
