Sharon L. Smith, age 92, of Elkhart, formerly of Logansport, passed away at 12:07 pm Saturday Oct. 25, 2025, in her residence at Hubbard Hill.

Born April 19, 1933, in Wolf Lake, Indiana to the late Donald L. and Janis (Sedgwick) Cotherman. On November 1, 1957, in South Bend she married William Smith who preceded her in death on November 13, 1961. Then on October 26, 1963, in Logansport she married Ashton DeGrief who preceded in death on August 10, 2017.

Sharon was an LPN who previously worked for Millers Merry Manor and Chase Center of Logansport. She was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Stephen Smith, Arcadia, IN; Dirk (Jodie) DeGrief, Anderson, IN; three daughters, Christie (Mike) Scott, LaBelle, FL; Jane (Tom) Lytle, Royal Center, IN; Jennifer Voigt, Port Charlotte, FL; Companion, Roy Tepe, Elkhart, IN; thirteen grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Sharon was also preceded in death by one son, one grandson, one brother and one son-in-law.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm Thursday October 30, 2025, at Rest Haven Memorial Park of Lafayette, IN
