George David Enfield

July 19, 1933 - Sept. 18, 2009

SOUTH BEND - George David Enfield, 76, was born on July 19, 1933, in South Bend, Indiana. He went to be with The Lord on September 18, 2009.

Mr. Enfield grew up in River Park, attended Nuner and graduated from John Adams High School. He worked many jobs including a stint at Studebaker. He moved to West Palm Beach, Florida, in the 70s and resided there for over 30 years where he retired from Publix Supermarket.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Selby Enfield of West Palm Beach, FL; two brothers, Gordon Enfield of South Bend and Douglas Enfield of Angola, IN; four sisters, Gloria Whiteman, Donna Belle Cain, Beverly Metz and Patricia Woods, all of South Bend, IN. He is also survived by his four children, David Enfield of Akron, IN, Susan Barnard, Carol Toth and Daniel Enfield, all from South Bend, IN. Mr. Enfield had 12 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren, most of whom live in South Bend, IN, five reside in Arizona and 14 live as far away as Alberta, Canada.

Mr. Enfield was a hard worker all of his life. He enjoyed music of all kinds, fishing, giving, and most of all traveling to spend time with family and relatives whenever he could. He was a good man and will be missed very much by all. Mr. Enfield was laid to rest at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in West Palm Beach, FL.
