Nancy L. (Ankers) Beverly

FEBRUARY 16, 1934 – JANUARY 18, 2016

Nancy L. Beverly, 81, of Fort Wayne passed away Monday, January 18, 2016. She was born on February 16, 1934 in Mishawaka to the late John and Vera Mae (Shaw) Ankers.

She was a 1952 graduate of John Adams High School.

She worked for over 20 years at Rogers and Scott’s grocery stores. She was a member at St. Luke’s Anglican Church, American Legion Post 241, and Eagles 248. She enjoyed working with her flowers, doing puzzles, organizing and admiring her angel statues, and listening to music. She was especially fond of and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Surviving family includes her children, Kathy (Steve) Bumgardner, Laurie (Jack) Byrd, Mike (Charmagne) Bliven; four step children; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Gloria (John) Fassett; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her first husband, Jack C. Bliven, and second husband, Herbert Beverly.

A funeral service will be 6:30 pm on Thursday, January 21, 2016 with a gathering of friends and family beginning at 4:30 pm. Burial will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
